MiniRoos U5 - U7 In-House Football

Children turning 5,6 or 7 in the 2024 calendar year can play MiniRoos in-house football.

Every Saturday morning from April to September our grounds will have young players along with their parents, preparing for then playing scheduled MiniRoos matches. Parents only need to travel to the same location each week they do not have a "home and away" situation.

There is less emphasis on competition as our games are in house and not against other clubs. We offer a greater degree of flexibility in terms of being able to monitor, assess and or move players between teams if required. The club can provide a greater level of support to game leaders, coaches and manager as they are all at the club's home ground rather than travelling to other clubs Having all the parents at the same ground helps to share the load of the various roles and enhance the experience for the kids.

Playing format:

  • Number of players: 4-a-side with no goalkeeper, maximum of 3 substitutes

  • Field of play: 30m long x 20m wide

  • Goal size: 2m wide x 1m high

  • Ball size: 3

  • Duration of the game: 20 min halves, minimum 5 min half time break

  • No penalty area

The competition kicks off halfway through April with training typically commencing a few weeks prior.

Training is provided once a week by BSC coaches with match day coaching shared between parents.
